Ohio demonstrates just how efficiently state elections are run

In Ohio, unlike most other states, you are required to PAY return postage for mail-in absentee ballots when you mail them.

Depending on the county -- each of which may have one or two pages in a ballot -- you could require one "Forever" 1st class postage stamp ... or you could require 2 stamps!

Some voters were surprised when taking the ballots to the Post Office counter where they were told their one stamp was not enough.  Still others were more surprised when ballots they dropped in USPS drop boxes or mailed from home were returned to them citing insufficient postage,

Now the counties that require more than one stamp have told the Post Offices to deliver any ballots with insufficient postage affixed, and the county or state will pay the difference.  Read that as "the tax payers wind up paying postage for anyone who didn't do it right."

These are the same people we trust to guarantee nobody is cheating or disenfranchising voters.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
