Shatner is Canadian, eh?

He can't even vote here.  No surprise he doesn't keep up with politics.

He was born in 1931, making him 93.  Good on him for such a long, successful life, but to have him on a political show with Bill Maher is of no interest.

Is William Shatner a US citizen?
Actor says he cannot vote in 2024 election
and wishes to remain non-political

Also, he's Jewish.  We all know most Jewish voters lean Democrat, so he's getting his information from the Left.  Can't fault people for being ignorant when they can't even vote.

First George Takei when he came out and destroyed the image of a Starship's WEAPONS officer and now the fabled Captain of the Enterprise is Canadian. What reality did we warp into?

I'm still amazed he was in The Green Beret's with John Wayne.

George has been in a lot of movies and TV shows.  He was in a Twilight Zone episode "The Encounter" playing opposite of Neville Brand in 1964.  The episode was banned for decades due to its racial themes and portrayal of Japanese Americans, reflecting the prejudices of the time.  I've always thought the story was extremely close to the Lee Marvin movie Hell in the Pacific but still set within the Twilight Zone universe.

The majority of his acting has been bit parts on many TV series and movies, as well as voices for animated TV shows and video games.  The Star Trek series and the Star Trek movies he appeared in remain his most memorable role -- unless you count the cheesy ads with him saying "Oh, my!"

You must mean Michael Myers.

They cut and colored the hair to make it less of a Shatner resemblance, but the face is all his.

More than you ever wanted to know about the masks used in Halloween.   :geekdanc:

At age 93 there is a possibility that he may not be of sound mind even if he seems lucid.

i don't think it's fair to suspect someone of senility simply because of age.  We normally notice the infirm more often because they require assistance, even nursing care, due to mental incapacity.  But that's not the majority.

Quote
The proportion of adults ages 70 and older with dementia declined
from 13% in 2011 to 10% in 2019.1

The share of older people with dementia is decreasing 1% to 2.5%
per year, depending on the time frame and age group examined.2

But as the large baby boomer population ages, the total number of
people with dementia will rise. Estimates vary, but experts report
more than 7 million people ages 65 or older had dementia in 2020.
If current demographic and health trends continue, more than 9 million
Americans could have dementia by 2030 and nearly 12 million by 2040.3
https://www.prb.org/resources/fact-sheet-u-s-dementia-trends/

Dementia includes Alzheimer’s disease and other related disorders.

While aging increases the risk of dementia, the vast majority of that population never experience it.

Anyone who supported Kamala over Trump is suspect, even if its Capt. Kirk.

I recall the Star Trek episode where the crew experienced rapid aging and mental decline.
Art imitating life perhaps.

Yeah, but they found a cure.  Kirk risked his life (what was remaining of it) to test the vaccine.

Better than forcing the entire crew to take an untested vaccine!

That's a good one, especially for the boomers
