He helped create the riot on January 6 in order to certify a stolen election that would have otherwise been contested on the House floor

Not sure but I think that counts as treason

Sorry, I didn't realize this thread was for crazy conspiracy theories.

When someone says they don't know an answer, then fails to follow up as promised, that's contempt of Congress.  The numbers were obviously known, but he refused to provide that to Congress.  It took an external agency to report the number he had every opportunity to ascertain and provide.

When he said he didn't know, he was hiding behind an assumed plausible deniability.  Since that other agency found it out, there's a more reasonable assumption that Wray lied about not knowing -- he was just stonewalling because the answer was bad for the FBI and himself.

So we should pardon Gaetz because he was never charged or convicted of something but Chris Wray should leave the country? So much for you standard for guilt being determined by being charged or convicted. Or did I miss something, did congress charge him with contempt?

I don't think it's crazy considering all the nutty sh*t that's been happening under the biden administration.

I for one still think biden had help otherwise he wouldn't have been elected.

Wray all but admitted to contempt when the House scheduled a vote to charge him, but then cancelled the vote when the FBI produced the documents the House has been demanding for a very long time.

Until the House showed they were serious about holding Wray in contempt, nothing was being done to comply.  Why did it take a threat of contempt charges to get Wray to provide access to the info?  Obviously, the info was available -- it existed.  Congress has oversight responsibility for the DOJ and FBI.  Nothing should ever be withheld from them.

Sorry, I don't buy this one. I believe the reports that the FBI had some informants in the mix but that is a far cry from the idea that the FBI fomented the riot.

Nobody cares what you believe.  If you don't have any evidence that the FBI was not involved in instigating the riots, then you have nothing more than an opinion.

But here you are arguing against actual evidence.  They FBI refused for a year to divulge who in the riot was associated with law enforcement.  There are witnesses who testified Trump asked for National Guard to be onsite for the protests, but Pelosi and the Capitol Police denied the request.  The police themselves gave tours of the Capitol to so-called rioters.  None of the informants who were there and detained for doing the same thing as the other rioters were never arrested or charged.  One informant is seen fist-bumping a police officer as he's being released during the riot after police detained him.  Why?

So you want me to prove a negative? I don't believe something that has insufficient evidence is not a matter of opinion.
What makes you think anyone cares what you believe? You seem to care what I believe because you persist in telling me how your opinion about my opinion all the time.

Wrong. I didn't argue against any evidence, I said "I believe the reports that the FBI had some informants in the mix". You need to work on your reading comprehension.

Pelosi and the Capitol Police cannot deny the national guard, the national guard answers to the president, not Pelosi.

Why would an informant be released, not arrested, and not charged? Because they are an informant. If police use an informant to go buy drugs from a suspect do they then charge the informant for possessing drugs after the purchase? (Hint, the answer is no)

Rather, you would have me believe this elaborate conspiracy that the FBI fomented the riot, in cooperation with Pelosi and capitol police to try and frame Trump?

If you're going to argue in favor of the opposite of everything others post, then yes, i expect you to prove your argument.  If you can't, then all you're doing is arguing without a conclusion in mind.

"Because they are an informant. If police use an informant to go buy drugs from a suspect do they then charge the informant for possessing drugs after the purchase?"

in that unrelated hypothetical, the police told the informant to do something illegal.  According to the FBI, nearly all of the informants they admit are theirs were not asked to attend the protest.  Is it your belief once a person is an informant, they can break laws without being told to by their handlers, and no crimes will be charged?  Is being an informant in some situations a free pass to break laws in all situations?

if the informants were there of their own accord, any laws they broke were also their decision.  Hence, they should not be excused from their actions. They should be charged just like the hundreds of others being prosecuted.

Wake up.
