which pretty much says the AWB is going to be laughed out of congress.

supposedly, the mag bill isnt even going to go to a vote.

info stops at 2:40.

but you can watch the whole thing, to hear the asshole talk about how the AWB "isnt about banning the average gun" (uh, the ar 15 and general semi auto pistols are pretty damn common.  they are more your average gun than a hunting bolt action)

and how the columbine shooters used assault weapons like a pump action shotgun...

its not over, but it does mean that perhaps if this is all true and every thing goes well in congress, people can stop panicking, and realize that in 2-3 months, you'll be able to walk into a store and buy a pmag for 15 bucks, you wont be registering your guns with the NFA, and that AR 15 you wanted will be going back towards sane prices.

Hey I'm hopeful that it turns out that way but I'm this is by far over. Do you feel that confident that you would sell any of your mags and semiauto rifles at prescare prices?

I'd never sell any gun, ever, but I do think in a month or two, after this legislative BS has sputtered out we'll see normalcy return.

this.  i was never thinking about selling anything, so i could never answer if i would be comfortable selling at such and such price, because i never thought about selling.

i bought mags, but it had nothing to do with the panic, i was planning on buying some, the shooting happened, so i ended up buying GI mags from someone here instead for fair prices.

i never really bought into the panic, essentially.

The extent of me buying into the panic was ordering six mags from Mako Group.  I figured it would work out one of four ways:

1: They're good mags and there's no ban.  Awesome, I've got a bunch of mags.
2: They're shitty mags and there's no ban.  Arts and crafts time?  Make a cleaning stand?  Useful for malfunction drills?
3: They're good mags and there's a ban. Even better than #1, cause they're mine, all mine, and they're grandfathered!!
4: They're shitty mags and there's a ban.  Black market time?  Black market time.  Cash monies.

Hopefully the magazine ban doesn't come to pass but I don't think we're in the clear yet. Just to be safe I to ordered 4  more mags from mako group. Wouldn't hurt to have a couple more mags just in case.

How many AR mags do you have in total?

Sorry, didn't see this until now.  In total I have three 30's and a 20.  I have five more on backorder with MidwayUSA, two of which are now en route to my doorstop, and six on order from Mako Group.  So I have four in hand, two on the way, and nine more that I hope to one day be able to lovingly fondle.

I actually came back to this thread to ask if anyone has received their order from Mako yet.  I haven't heard anything, but their website still says they're not backordered, so I'm hopeful.

Not surprised about the phone calls, somewhere on their website they said they had stopped answering the phone because everyone from CEO to stock boy was chucking magazines into boxes for shipment as fast as they could.

No worry about Mako they will deliver.  Check out their GL-Mag stock too - comes with a spare 10 rounder built in!

Excellent.  Got emails from my good friend Larry Potterfield today indicating that my five PMags are on the way.  Glad they're shipped; I was worried because the second order was supposed to be backordered until like April!   :shake:
