Hostage/Cease Fire Deal between Israel & HAMAS reached -- Biden takes credit (Read 1843 times)

Flapp_Jackson

So, Biden admits this is the deal his administration worked up last Spring.

Why did it take until mid-Winter for Israel and HAMAS to agree to it?  What, if anything. changed recently?

How did Biden's people not announce the deal until after Trump posted about it on social media?

Yep.  Thought the same thing.  biden thinks he's going out as a hero/martyr.

No.  He's going out.  To sighs of relief, and utterances of "Good Riddance".

The longest Jan. 20th I have ever experienced.  The world under biden where every second seems like 10 years.

I believe there's almost nothing we can't accomplish if we don't care who gets the credit.

This story illustrates how most politicians want to get the credit for everything and the blame for nothing.

Trump's not a politician.  We all know he's the reason for the agreement, just like he's the reason for the Abraham Accords.  Biden taking credit is showing how petty he and his handlers are.

I can't wait until Biden is gone for good -- Monday is only 4 days away!!

The fake news and it's sheeple don't know the reason.  I also suspect that at least a few on here don't either cause you know, logic and objective and hypotheticals.

I suspect trying to deal with Hamas is like trying to tackle a greased pig.

Hamas only understands power.  Same like other countries and people in that region.  Lets use Iraq as an example. Sadaam ruled with power. No democracy.  The people there only understand that and have no concept of democracy.

So any dealing has to be with strength and not "being the nice guy".

Send in the Marines.  The only branch of the military that doesn't worry what people think of them.

Latest reports I saw today say there are a bunch of trucks loaded with supplies to aid Gaza residents sitting on the border awaiting an official word from Israel.

Also, there are hostages being released by Hamas on Sunday.

Israel approves a ceasefire with Hamas
with the first set of hostages due out Sunday

Quote
The Israeli government has approved a ceasefire and hostage deal
with the Palestinian militant group Hamas, leading to a possible end
to 15 months of a devastating war in Gaza that spread to other parts
of the Middle East.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's full cabinet voted in favor of the
U.S.-backed deal late Friday, according to The Associated Press and
Israeli news outlets, following earlier approval by his security cabinet.

The full approval comes two days after mediators Qatar and the United
States announced both Israel and Hamas agreed to the multiphase deal,
which includes the staggered release of hostages held in Gaza in
exchange for the freeing of Palestinians in Israeli prisons. Netanyahu's
office said Hamas would release a first group of hostages on Sunday.

According to this article, the US (Biden's administration) sent nasty letters to Israel demanding they allow more aid into Gaza.

Funny how this new development freed up that log jam.  Remind me again what's different between now and when Biden was unable to get it done?

Israel says 114 aid trucks
entered Gaza yesterday,
with 600 waiting to be collected

Quote
Israel says 114 trucks carrying humanitarian aid trucks entered the
Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom and Erez crossings yesterday.

The Israeli body overseeing humanitarian aid, COGAT, says that while
21 trucks were collected from the Gazan side of the Kerem Shalom
crossing by international organizations, some 600 trucks worth of aid
were still waiting for collection.

COGAT says a convoy of 24 trucks crossed through Gate 96 into
northern Gaza.

Let me guess. The fact that Trump will be POTUS in less than 72 hours?

Israel is only accepting this temporary ceasefire, at the risk of Hamas rearming, cause they are confident Trump will fully support them in attacking Hamas once the ceasefire ends.

You don't think they might have accepted it because hostages are coming home after more than 15 months?

It's part of it, but not the main reason.  Or else they could've done this ceasefire anytime in the past if the main goal was for hostages to be released.

The ceasefire agreed to is only temporary, and Israel is free to continue the war once phase I ends.  Israel vowed to not stop the war until Hamas is eliminated.  Hamas doesn't agree to a permanent peace with Israel.  The only major change to occur right now is Trump taking office.
