Or make sidewalks e-bike a sensitive place.

Oh wait, it's already illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk.

Yup!  Especially after the City took away a bunch of parking on King St and Ward for bike lanes.  Still see lots riding on the sidewalk, sometimes on the sidewalks right next to the bike lane.

They present a safety hazard to the houseless. . .

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

To show how I feel about this issue, I submit the following from the movie "Airplane!".

No. that car is evil. changes the climate. kills baby seals. responsible for coconut rhino beetle. inflation. not vehicle diverse. how many ethnic groups own that type of vehicle? I'd say it's a product of Asian privilege.

only in Hawaii.   not fair, my Asian Privilege card works everywhere else.

I "broke traction" once with that car, made the earth spin a little faster, and caused icebergs to melt, so, yeah.  Guilty as charged.  smiles per mile.   ;D

my other half lets me drive her 200TREE Toyota 4Runner, on occasion.  Unfortunately, it's not lifted, not 4WD either, but it does have the gawd-awesome not-climate-friendly V8!

I'm claiming a Guest Pass variance since i have some guest privileges with that local-acceptable vehicle.  That in itself apparently carries more validity than my asian-privilege card.
