Honolulu police provided an update just before 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31
announcing that four more adults and one juvenile turned themselves in
at Kailua Police Station.

They were arrested for trespassing.

Officials remind the public that it is illegal for unauthorized persons to
access Haiku Stairs and violators seen partaking in the hike will be cited
or arrested.

“No trespassing” signs were also posted. “Do not risk your safety or the
safety of others,” HPD added.

Any wagers on whether the state will make examples of these trespassers to deter others?

Their punishment:

Have them thrown over the side where they threw the railings.

Have them bring that damn thing back up.

After they bring the railings back up, throw the railing over the side again.  With them following.  Tell them bring the railing back up.  again.

Rinse and repeat.  Until they break down and cry.  Film it and broadcast it publicly.

Then throw them over the side again.

Rinse and repeat.

I'd bet this is what the Marines would do as punishment.
