I, for one, welcome the new Vice Chair of the DNC.

Nothing says, "We need to try something," like turning a dysfunctional organization over to a narcissistic political opportunist and Progressive ideologue.

What could possibly go wrong for the Democrat Party?

All throughout the speeches and quotes, the Dems keep saying they must fight Donald Trump.

Trump is into his last term.  They already failed to get a majority in both the House and Senate, and it's unlikely the midterms will deter a significant amount of Trump's agenda as he's going balls-to-the-wall implementing as much of his agenda as possible in the first few months.  A Dem-lead Senate can't stop him from appointing cabinet members two years later, so that's not a real plan.

Rather than fighting Trump, they should be trying to figure out WHY Trump won.  It wasn't misogyny, sexism or racism (remember Obama?).

I have a feeling JD Vance is going to be even harder to beat than Trump.  He's got the same vision for the US but without all the character flaws and baggage Trump brings.

Trump had a successful 1st term.  If voters look at what Biden and Harris caused and failed to accomplish, they will compare Trump's terms and see how idiotic it is to keep believing the lies and misinformation coming from the Dems.  Their propaganda machines are falling apart, and the voters are waking up.  Even Bill Maher, as dumb as he is, seems to get how woke culture is a disaster that only mindless sheep will follow.

If your top supporters have now become your biggest critics, it a sign that you're not really who you pretend to be.

Tell me you want to illegally discriminate between candidates based on age ...

His thinking is that elected Democrats are too old and that the current
iteration of the party fails to appeal to younger voters, particularly young males.

The smart approach would be to campaign for term limits for all representatives.  But then you wouldn't be able to cherry pick from among only the candidates in "safely Democrat districts" vs. treating all districts equally.

Maybe it's not their gender or age.  Maybe it's because voters are fed up with the woke progressive BS.

He ran his start up org and wasn't ready for the big leagues yet.  He is being groomed to be the typical DNC politician.

He called for younger reps on bill maher. He said the party had lost its appeal to young men.

He is correct, but he defied the orthodoxy.

He's the consummate politician.

He accurately defined the problem initially -- losing votes of young males.  But, then he made an erroneous conclusion -- the reason young males aren't voting Democrat is the candidates are too old.

He's ignoring the obvious conclusion, that Democrat candidates of any age are the problem.

Typical political perspective.  Don't solve the real problem.  Try to manipulate the voters with better window dressing but still pushing the same horrible ideas.

Democratic National Committee panel voids
David Hogg's election as party vice chair

Quote
A Democratic National Committee panel voted to void its election of David Hogg
as vice chair of the Democratic Party on Monday.

The initial vote comes after mounting internal criticism of Hogg, though party officials
say the vote was based on a procedural challenge made in February claiming Hogg
and another official were improperly elected. The DNC will vote later this year on
whether to remove Hogg.

"Today, the DNC took its first steps to remove me from my position as Vice Chair
At-Large. While this vote was based on how the DNC conducted its officers’ elections,
which I had nothing to do with, it is also impossible to ignore the broader context of
my work to reform the party which loomed large over this vote," Hogg said in a
statement reacting to the vote.

"I ran to be DNC Vice Chair to help make the Democratic Party better, not to defend
an indefensible status quo that has caused voters in almost every demographic group
to move away from us," he added.

More information on the David Hogg's removal as DNC Vice-Chair.

In a nutshell, the Party didn't follow their own gender-based rules for chair elections.

They have a rule that their vice-chair elections are supposed to be split into two different elections: one for men and one for women.

This time, DNC voters were given a combined ballot with both men and women listed, leading to 2 men winning: Hogg and Malcolm Kenyata.

Two women complained, so the DNC voided the election.  Hogg has said he's not planning to run in the new election.

So many conclusions to be drawn here.  Did the DNC want to give Hogg a face-saving reason for leaving the DNC?  Are Misogynists running the DNC as might be deduced from 2 men winning?  Why not 2 women?  Maybe DNC because voters trust men more to run things?  Etc. etc.

Remember, Hogg was planning to get elderly Democrats out of office and replace them with younger candidates.  I'm sure many of those elderly have strong influence in the party.
