What reason is there for any former federal employee to keep their security clearance?

This seems like Trump being petulant though. Biden did it to him and now he wants revenge.

Really?  You think the President of the United States of America and Commander in Chief of US Armed Forces is like any other "former federal employee?"

That's on par with most of your hypothetical nonsense -- something you rag on others for doing.

Is it not reasonable to assume the former presidents may have information, contacts and advice the next president should consider before making decisions that impact national security and foreign relations?  It's exactly why former presidents not only retain a clearance, but also receive classified national security updates daily -- to keep abreast of the current situation and offer advice when they feel it's appropriate and needed.

You are so opinionated.  Too bad you are not at least as well informed.

Trump is doing what the DOJ, Congress or someone else should have done when it it was obvious Joe became incompetent, was storing classified documents for many years out in the open, and has family doing business with Russian and Chinese entities.  If any other federal employee were to have his resume, they would have had a very low possibility of being granted a clearance to the level the President is granted.  In fact, the reason Biden has a top security clearance is because he was VP and President, not because he was the most trustworthy person in government.  Look at former Secretary of State Clinton.  She had classified all over her illegal server.  Her clearance should have been revoked, but the Dems don't care about their own crimes.  That's why it takes someone like Trump to do what's proper.  Revenge?  Please!!

Lets use the CIA as an example. THe pay sucks. Why they do it is for the after pay with using their security clearances in the private sector and get paid like $600K a year.  So this also has a huge financial impact on the 51 who lied about the hunter biden laptop.

What's wrong with revenge?  They opened the doors and set precedent to many things they've done to Trump.

Well I would hope the free leader would have the ability to be the better man but unfortunately Trump doesn't possess that level of maturity or character or leadership.

Strawman, I never said that.

I made no assumption, it was a simple question that requires none of your attitude.

What are you the opinion Nazi?

I have no problem with Biden's security clearance being taken away, it makes a lot of sense.

Strawman, I never said that.

You insinuated. "What reason is there for any former federal employee to keep their security clearance?"  Either you were implying the President is just like any federal employee, or you're trying to derail the topic which is specifically about Biden.  The alternative is you have no idea how clearances work and are tossing around random, irrelevant questions.

You're against others posting attitude, but it doesn't stop you in thread after thread.    :geekdanc:

Attitude!

And that's all you should have posted.  The rest was just muddying the water.

Wrong. You read too far into things.

The left counts on the right "being the better man". Which is why they do what they've been doing for decades.  It isn't about maturity, character or leadership...SWOOSSHHHHH

The better man?  A can of dog food is a better man than Biden.

When using a word like "better" it's advisable to remember the word is comparative.  A "better man" doesn't have to be perfect -- just better than "the other man."

Being the better man isn't about being left or right, it is about doing the right thing. Trump doesn't get to excuse bad behavior by playing whataboutism with bad democrat behavior.  Guess that bit escaped you with your conditional morality.
