Examining gender-specific mental health risks after
gender-affirming surgery: a national database study

Quote
Results: From 107 583 patients, matched cohorts demonstrated that
those undergoing surgery were at significantly higher risk for depression,
anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders than those without
surgery. Males with surgery showed a higher prevalence of depression
(25.4% vs. 11.5%, RR 2.203, P < 0.0001) and anxiety (12.8% vs. 2.6%,
RR 4.882, P < 0.0001). Females exhibited similar trends, with elevated
depression (22.9% vs. 14.6%, RR 1.563, P < 0.0001) and anxiety (10.5%
vs. 7.1%, RR 1.478, P < 0.0001). Feminizing individuals demonstrated
particularly high risk for depression (RR 1.783, P = 0.0298) and substance
use disorders (RR 1.284, P < 0.0001).

Don't believe the hype that Gender-affirming "care" saves lives.

The longer term studies are catching up and starting to show these surgeries are not good medical practice. Maybe in rare extreme situations they make sense but not anything like what we are seeing these days with young people irreversibly damaging their bodies for a lie.

Links to "longer term studies" would be better than a drive-by comment.

I provided links and excerpts with statistics.

Would be a pleasant change for some people to give their sources in addition to their conclusions and opinions.

I am arguing on the same side as you and you find a way to pick a fight.  ::)
It's not that difficult when you can't support your opinions before being called out -- if then.

Do you do that to everyone you have a casual conversation with? Someone tells you about a popular new restaurant and you demand them to show a Yelp rating otherwise you insult them?

OR

(I suspect) you just want to argue?

This is what happens when you have low credibility due to repeat posting of bad info or links.

And another poor example.  I'll let you try to figure out why and then you will.  Then not admit it was a poor example.

Let me find a magnifying glass so I can show you how large my concern of your worthless opinion is.

You shouldn't need a magnifying glass because you responded to my post.  So you're concern is big enough to warrant a reply.

Thanks for not even saying I'm wrong.  So I will assume my post was accurate. Thanks for helping, makes it easier for me.
