With regard to the tariff war going on.
Besides some retail not carrying American made products, there is a travel advisory saying to not come to the USA. Usually these are for things like viruses, storms, terrorism, etc... THat's how you know their government is using them.
Talked to some Canadians this weekend. They said that many aren't coming due to their exchange rate. And going elsewhere is even worst. So the USA is the only choice when wanting to travel international. Example: Many HI people are going to Japan due to the flights being cheap. Pecovid, it was like 1500 to go to Japan. And if you found $1K flights, that was a deal. For the past year it's been like in the $600's or so. For comparison, flight from HI to Vegas non-stop about $700 avg that's 5 hours or so. Flight to Japan is 10 hours and same price.
Add in the US dollar gets more yen due to the exchange rate.
The Canadians I spoke to said if they were to go to Japan, they only get 70% to the Yen for their dollar.
I'm on a few Vegas FB groups and there are enough Canadians asking if it's ok to travel to Vegas. They're under the impression that they will be attacked or something. In the comments of their post, they're told that it's fine. The tariff war is between the governments, the people won't harass them. For many to post the same thing in the various Vegas groups means that someone (fake news in Canada) must be filling their minds with lies.
