PMAG scalpers rant

I should've joined them! It's crazy $50+ a mag showing up on Craigslist and Ebay and people are still buying them. Would've like to see a guy at the range actually using all 12 Pmags he/she bought in a chest rig or something. But oh well, capitalism at its finest! If I dumped what I had in my losing stocks into PMAGs I could've tripled my $$$. I guess my Chinese blood is tainted or something. I should've taken this man's words to heart.

On another note, I never liked PMAGs. They are cool but I had several FTFs when using 77 SMKs/Noslers seated to aluminum GI mag length. The PMAG walls are thicker so it shortens potential COAL. Not an issue if using 55s but if you're crunching 77s every bit matters.
My Magpul backorder for 308s are now till March. It was BOd till January but it got pushed back :(  In addition, Magpul introduced new 20 round mags that are curved.

What is coal
Case OverAll Length.  The length of the cartridge from the tip of the bullet to the head (base) of the case.  Since all bullets for a given caliber have to be the same diameter (obviously), a heavier bullet will be longer than a lighter one, making the COAL longer as well and apparently introducing feed issues with Pmags.
I'm just a fluffy white bunny rabbit who lost his way.

Cartridge Overall Length, case is the case only not the fully loaded cartridge.

If you need to borrow 308 p mags I have some you can use.  With regards to the feeding issues, this can be rifle specific too as well as geometry depending on which version of the P mag you have.  My AR with the Shilen hates pretty much everything I try to use in it.
