Pope Francis dead at age 88

Quote
Francis’ death sets off a weekslong process of allowing the faithful to pay
their final respects, first for Vatican officials in the Santa Marta chapel and
then in St. Peter’s for the general public, followed by a funeral and a
conclave to elect a new pope.

As the sun was setting on Monday evening, the Vatican held a Rosary
prayer in St. Peter’s Square in its first public commemoration.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

He did his duties the best he could, even despite his doctor's orders to rest.

Then God said well done, time to come home.

What did the Pope get as an early Christmas gift?  A new, all electric Mercedes Popemobile!

Ever since someone tried to shoot the Pope at a public outing, he's been chauffeured about in a Popemobile to offer protection while being as visible as possible.

I always wondered...  if the Pope is afraid to die, what chance does the rest of us have?   :shake:
