Hey Carter, what's .308 like?

Well it's brass and shiny and goes boom when you pull the trigger.

(Sorry Carter, I couldn't help myself)

Would you say that 308 is easier to come by than 223/5.56?

We just happened to get two pallets delivered before the craziness, there's no 308 avail from our distributors right now.

thanks for the update.

while i probably wont dip in this time (still have 800 rounds, and no time to shoot), let me know if you get any 62 grain 5.56.  maybe by then, i'll have more money to spend.

Yikes!  Double-whammy of being out of the ammo market for a few years and just moving from the mainland has me  ??? at the .70/round cost, but went ahead and bought a case.  Guess I'll start getting back into reloading, too.

blame the panic.  I bought a case of PMC from KGS for 390 in november and OGC was selling cases of 556 just after that for 360 or something.

I just hope the market will be able to recover and prices will eventually go back down to pre panic levels.

it'll probably take a few months, i'd imagine.

i wonder if OGC can tell us how long it took to recover say, after the last obama election?

It took about three months.  Many of the distributors have not raised the price at all.  However, they don't have any ammo at all.  The ones with inventory are really making it dear, or allocating it so small that the amount we can get is meaningless, a few k rounds...
