Trex Arms is a good channel and Mr Botkin appears to be a genuine guy really into what he does.  I'm not a frequent watcher of the channel, but I've watched a variety of their videos on equipment recommendations, training, 2A history, and activism.  They're not the shills like a lot of other channels out there that put out a mass of videos and get you to buy their sponsored products.  They're not an influencer or entertainment channel trying to get you to like them and getting the clicks.  Lot of those out there, even the old legit channels that sold out to get clicks nowadays.  I use a couple of their holsters and they put out good quality stuff.

I feel like they focused on getting the right information and encouraging training, out and they're not trying to win you over.  It's a channel I can confidently recommend to others. Unfortunately on whatever conflict they had.

Summary....Lucas founded Trex Arms and later brought in his brothers as partners.  Partners took advantage of Lucas.  Lucas got married and his wife made him man up for himself and partners didn't like that and didn't like his wife.  Then an employee, son of one of the execs, sent Lucas's wife pron and there was no punishment which was the last straw.  Lucas wanted to buyout the partners and change things.  They didn't want to sell so Lucas sold his shares and left instead.

Hope he does well on his endeavors.  Seems like a great guy.

He doesn't go into details but prob dick pics. Lol. Others have speculated this but no real confirmation. I'm guessing that employee/ son of one of the brothers was trying to win her over. Like he was in love with Lucas's wife haha. I mean she ain't ugly. She's pretty cute in fact.

Anyways, his first brother who joined trex arms, actually made a contract saying he would own 51% of the company. This was when Lucas was younger and prob had no idea what that meant. And his brother never explained what that meant. That's already fucked up, he literally became majority stakeholder/owner/ big boss from day one.

What an asshole lol. I'm sure trex arms gonna go downhill now. Not only cause Lucas left but now people know what kind of people are running the show. Too bad Lucas never made patents under his name instead of under trex arms.. otherwise he could take all his research and products with him. And Iirc majority of his weapons were under trex arms, not under him... So he might not be playing with all his expensive and high tech gear anymore.

How many people here buy their products?  I don't own any.  I forgot the reason why many years ago I went with Tier1Concealed for my IWB holster.  And since then, I have always used them for my IWB holsters and Phlster for 2 IWB holsters, 1 being the Enigma.

I also dont' watch Trex's youtube vids, with the exception of teh one where Lucas took the airsofter shooting.

A legal question that I have is if an employee sends porn stuff to an owners wife who isn't also an employee off the clock and not from a work device, what can they do legally?  Would it be "zero tolerance" still?

Trex seems to be leaving things out. About the legal right to fire above and the 51%.

Had they said "we legally cannot terminate the employee for zero tolerance due to the above", then OK.  Or had they said we made a mistake and didn't apply a zero tolerance policy. This would have cleared up this issue.

The not finding a job for Lucas's wife is BS. They could find something for her to do, even if it's assembly line stuff. They already admitted special treatment of her application.  They just didn't want her working there.
