Two officers injured while trying to arrest a lone man with a knife?

I'd love to see the body-cam footage.  Were Tasers used? Batons? Rubber bullets?  Beanbag projectiles?  Mace/pepper spray?  Presentation of a firearm?

With all the weapons cops carry, one would think at least one or more of them would be effective enough to stop a knife-happy yahoo.

2-on-1 seems like there should have been no injuries to the officers.

Maybe they were DEI hires?  I've been seeing a lot of videos of women trying to combat a resisting perp with little success.  I guess they get more attention after the Trump attempted assassination.

a single male. Shortly after the female officers try to detain the man, he
begins physically struggling with them and manages to break free and
run off.

LE officers in hawaii are the best of the best.  That is why there are more than 400 vacancies.

I'm thinking he didn't brandish the knife at the officers (reads that way), as he'd likely be dead.

Also, here's a video of a random knife attack in NYC of a leftist and his girlfriend.

It's a very good watch in order to get a feel for how quickly this goes down.

Needless to say, this is an immediate shoot to kill that comes out of nowhere.

As a kid I was attacked with a knife - at school of all places!

Anyway, you'd have just enough time get out of striking distance to draw and fire.

On a related note, I saw a vid of a guy with a knife in a fast food place.  A CCW holder responded and drew his gun to stop the threat. But instead, the holster came out with the gun and the gun was taken away.  He was using a soft holster Uncle Mike's style.

So the importance of having a good holster and secure way to attach it to your waistband.

How true.  We all want to be comfortable when carrying, but it appears that there's an inverse relationship between comfort martial effectiveness.  Like leather is comfy, but kydex is more correct, and usually not so comfy, etc.
