There were 234 firearms collected in July's voluntary confiscation.
The collection included 117 handguns, 92 rifles, 13 shotguns, and 12 assault rifles

Only 111 gift cards were distributed.  What's confusing is they offered $200 gift cards for semi-auto rifles, any automatic firearm and ghost guns.  There should have been at least 12 @ $200 cards for the "assault rifles."  Yet, HPD's own press release said all 111 cards were valued at $100 each.

My guess is there were some people handing in more firearms than they were able to get cards for under the 3 gift card max limit (if memory serves).

Once again, the numbers just don't add up.  But, to answer your question, it appears they are giving out fewer cards than one per firearm (only 47% of firearms were compensated by a card if you trust their reporting), so they should have enough cards for you.

Thanks to funding support from DLE, HPD distributed 111 gift cards,
each valued at $100, for a total of $11,000 in exchanges.

Yes, this is exactly what happened.  People could take back their guns and come back at another event, or they could turn in the guns and leave their contact information - the people working the desk said that there 'might' be more gift cards back at the office.  It seems like the people I saw that showed up after the cards ran out just turned in their guns anyway.

Thats good to know since I wont be turning in any illegal stuff if I ever do it. Its good to know that I can cancel the transaction and not lose the firearm.

That explains why there was such a large disconnect between the number of forearms vs. the number of gift cards.  And, if they only showed up with $100 cards, they probably offered that in place of the promised $200 card for certain types.

Leave it to Democrats to cheat people out of what's already a low-ball amount for working firearms.
