We keep describing the Left/Liberals/Democrats/Socialists as a cult.  I hadn't heard the phrase "Struggle Sessions" until this video.

Within the context of Maoist Marxism as well as in today's Liberal culture, Struggle Sessions can only be likened to one thing:

Brainwashing.

We all know brainwashing is a technique used by cults, so it's not a surprise that it's found its way into the Left's vernacular.

Quote
Struggle sessions were public events in Maoist China where individuals accused
of being "class enemies" were humiliated, beaten, and tortured, often by people
close to them. These sessions aimed to enforce loyalty to Maoist ideology and
were particularly prevalent during the Cultural Revolution from 1966 to 1976.
Quote
The nature of struggle sessions must be understood clearly in 2022 because
Western nations are going through a “Woke” Maoist insurgency now, and the
struggle session is all the way back in fashion (and has been for some time).
Since being banned and returning to Twitter following Elon Musk’s acquisition,
host of the New Discourses Podcast, James Lindsay, has been subjected to a
rather brutal online struggle session (a “twitter storm” as a harassment campaign)
in the attempt to punish him back off the site and to discredit his highly effective
popularization of the term “groomer” for Maoist ideological groomers, especially
those using Queer Marxism. In this groundbreaking episode of the podcast, James
goes through the struggle session he’s currently experiencing while tying it to the
psychological analysis of that phenomenon as presented in Robert Jay Lifton’s
book Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism: A Study of “Brainwashing”
in China. Join him to learn about this destructive form of bullying activism and to
learn how you can resist it.

On a related note, my sister works as a therapist and addiction counselor for the NC county where she lives.

She's always been the most illogical, self-centered, close-minded individual I've ever known.  She will argue and refuse to believe water is wet if she's made up her mind it's not wet.

When my wife and kids went to visit my mother so she could meet her new granddaughter,  my sister asked if our older girl could spend the night at her apartment.  I had a feeling it was a mistake, but everyone else convinced me it would be fine.  The next morning on our drive after picking her up from my sister, our 4-year-old daughter began lecturing us from her car seat on the evils of alcohol, and that we both should stop drinking.  That was the last time my sister was ever allowed to be alone with our children, and this time everyone else was in total agreement.

I'm sure in her mind, my sister was trying to prevent what happened with our alcoholic father from happening with our family, but to plant those kinds of ideas in the brain of a 4-year-old shows how little my sister thinks about her actions beforehand.

I found out much later that my sister was taking lithium, a drug that is used to treat the symptoms associated with bipolar disorder.

That's not the kind of person i think should be advising others with their mental health problems.  Yet, there she is, a trained and employed therapist!

They say psychologists (which includes psychiatrists, therapists and others who help treat mental health issues) are at high risk of suicide. Some studies found that 1 in 4 psychologists have felt suicidal.  Compared to a 1994 study, the rates may be increasing.   In a sample of 4,733 suicides across various health professions from 2003-2018 psychologists had the fourth highest rate of suicide.

I have a few friends who are a psychologist/psychiatrist and all are bat shit crazy.  And they are PHD type therapist.

With the information available today and the communication available, I find that maybe "brainwasted" is the wrong word.  That would imply that they don't know any better and it was forced.  But we have seen on many times people called out for being wrong and shown the why that is based on fact and not feelings, and yet they refuse to admit it.  Maybe we need a new word to describe people like this.  The closest phrase that I think is used commonly is TDS with Trump related things.  So now we need something for other types of illogical thinking.  Or maybe we already have words to describe this and it's that they're "morons", "idiots", "stupid", etc...Add in that these dumb people are coddled or given good attention to further reinforce their stupidity.

Charlie Kirk was asked why he doesn't respect a tranny.  He replied something like "I respect them so much that I refuse to lie to them (acknowledge a man is a woman).  I will tell them the truth".

Brainwashing is, by definition, suppressing what you know or believe and replacing it with alternate ideological beliefs.  Yes, they know better -- until that knowledge is countered with thinking that provides justification and rationalization to make you no longer hold your old opinions or beliefs as valid or true.

Look at the Jonestown massacre.  Every single adult in that cult knew what was happening was wrong BEFORE Jones brainwashed them.  When the Kool-aid started pouring, they started gulping.

Part of the brainwashing process included "practice events" where he had them do the Kool-aid consumption, but without the poisons added.  This created a conditioned response that removed the danger of dying, so it was no big deal to most when "last call" was served.

I believe that except in the cases where people are very young / naive / impressionable, they are indoctrinated, and therefore truly ignorant of the evil they are mentally embracing.

Because this is so effective a method, this is why we see these monsters seeking absolute control over educational systems, the war against parental rights, and demonic materials promoting sex, homosexuality, transsexuality to very little children.

This much we all know, but this example also speaks to the question of “are they just brainwashed, or are they just evil,” with respect to those coordinating this strategy - and strategy it is.  You have to acknowledge intent here, and once you do, the answer is that parties to this endeavor are evil.

If good is a thing, then so is evil.  These are real things, not sentiments. They determine thoughts, which then can influence actions, which then manifest the good or evil in the world, etc.

It’s difficult to be a human being.  We have an existential reality that exceeds our intellectual grasp to actually understand it.

Evil has many ways into our psyche, through self doubt, delusion, etc., so poor mental health is a fertile ground for evil to grow in.

Pretty much all my life I’ve been struggling to understand these matters, and studied Western and Asian philosophy pretty extensively, for an intellectual midget.

Here’s an interesting tid bit.  There is a text called Budo Training in Aikido, by Morihei Ueshiba, written really as a manual for his top students, pre WWII.  He was an extraordinary individual.  Shinto was perhaps the most dominant early religious influence on him.  At any rate, here is one of his admonishments to his students:

Self-delusion or doubt

to an evil way

will lead

to the spiritual horse

give no rein

Fear is a very, very powerful motivator.  It's been used since the beginning of human existence to conquer and control humans whether individually or in the millions.

So, when you start looking for brainwashing techniques, fear is among the top of the list.  That's almost the entire DNC playbook when any Republican announces they are running for President.  When you have nothing positive for your party to sell people, the only alternative is to convince the other side their candidate is literally Hitler, worse than Hitler, is a Fascist, is a Russian asset, and so on.

Of course, for any brainwashing process to work, they all require the same first step:  isolation.  Whether it's on the internet, in school, or in a behavioral health "ward", the individual can't have any of their previous beliefs validated or succeeding.  When you've been told the OTHER news stations do nothing but lie for their party and paint their candidates as saints, you get only the messaging they want you to get.

It's a fact, documented by polling, that CNN viewers (the few remaining) rarely if ever watch FOX News or visit conservative websites or watch conservative content on social media.  Yet, nearly half of conservatives say they occasionally watch CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc., in order to stay current on what their audiences are consuming.

Big time.

The mere existence of those who hold to common truths is an existential threat in the twisted minds of the woke, who exist in a Kafkaesque universe of moral and intellectual contradiction, held together only by the twisted narrative they are fed from day to day from the hive mind.

You can really see it when they speak amongst themselves, which would ordinarily be impossible for someone like me to experience, except for KTUH!

During the semester, they often have talk shows when these poor 20 something’s talk about woke issues and their roles and experiences in them.

It’s grim.

As you listen, you hear how truths as old as humanity, which you hold, are a violent threat to them.  They constantly speak of the need for safety and safe spaces, etc.  They have a complete specialized language created to navigate these discussions which sounds bizarrely foreign.

It’s surreal.

Anyway, bottom line, there can be no coexistence with them.  We are antimatter to their palace of delusions.  As long as we merely exist, in their twisted minds they are not safe.

I don’t think most of us really get this.

We just say, “whatever- you people are well and truly fucked - just keep your madness away from my liberty.”  It would never occur to us to do violence against their world, as this runs directly counter to our concept of civilization and human liberty.

Not so for them.  We have to be eliminated in order for their world to be safe, in order for it to survive.

Once you grasp this hideous reality, you begin to really understand that there can be no quarter given to this evil, whatsoever.
