Online registration times?

What kind of timelines have you guys been seeing for hpd to email back the firearm registration forms? It’s been almost 2 weeks since submitting them and just wondering if that’s the normal time?

Mine came in about a week. But it would depend on how busy they are.  Good thing there is no law that requires you keep the registration.  Once you submit it, it's no longer your problem.  Just document the submission.

Wow that’s fast.  They admit to running a pretty big backlog.

Back in December I waited about a month and then called to check on it, then they sent it.

Same thing just happened to me again, and it turned out the the FFL sent inaccurate information so HPD couldn’t match my doc with theirs - had to take my rifle down there to fix it.

They’re really nice guys (at least when I went) - and it was no problem.

From my experience, if you don’t just get it in a month or so, don’t hesitate to call them.  They’re good dudes, very helpful.

Ended up calling to confirm and see where it’s at in the process. They said it was received, but they’re backlogged 400+ so expect 6-8weeks for the emailed registration.

anybody got any updated data on how long it takes HPD to turn around online-registration?  is it still actually 6-8 weeks?  or longer?  just picked up another long gun from my FFL and he said it's running 2-3 months if you do it online ...

Still 2 to 3 months, I picked up a Centurion UC-9 last week and registered it online. I called my friend that works in  the permit & registration department. He said they are so backed up atleast 400. Better just to come down and get it registered.

@Jwall_e808  thanks for the update.  That's what I was afraid of.  You're right, better to just make the trek to downtown and do it in-person at the window.   :(
