Could be you're not heating it enough.  You have to get it up to 550 degrees.  If it's a small screw you could use a soldering iron to heat it.

Mahalo to everyone that offered advice, I tried using a soldering iron directly to the screw for longer than 10min and still broke more bits. Im reaching out to ruger directly to see how much it would cost to get removed from the factory. But I do appreciate you guys  :shaka:

Interesting comments by people with the same problem.  One said they sent the rifle to Ruger who took a week to return it with all 4 sight screws replaced.  So, it's possible there is a manufacturing defect in the screws or the threads in the tapped screw holes.

One guy suggested using an impact tool and impact bits to remove them.

Another said he used a fine-pointed flame on a torch to heat the area next to the screw to loosen the loctite, but that contradicts others' comments that there is no loctite used on those screws.

Anyway, sounds like sending it to Ruger is a viable solution.  Good luck.

One last trick. Slot the screwdriver into the screw head and give the handle a solid whack. I’ve used this technique defeated red loctite in the past.

You will probably have to give it multiple hits.
