Transportation leaders said they are looking at adding raised crosswalks, speed tables, and dedicated bicycle lanes while also promoting public transportation.

OahuMPO executive director Mark Garrity said, “It pays off in the long run by more people using transit, by more people walking and bicycling. We can achieve that here and that will make our streets safer for everyone.”

director mark garrity:  You go first.  Lead by example you plick.  Not even a mention of the possibility of holding people accountable, suspending licenses, and incarceration.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Apparatchiks like this guy and Sniffin, along with their conga-line of Marxist staffers and Marxist NGO’s, like Hawai’i Appleseed  - these are the monsters responsible for soaring traffic fatalities.

The increase in deaths directly correlates with their years-long campaign to impede traffic flow cross-island.  They do it by taking away lanes on major east-west routes, throwing up “No Right Turn on Red” signs literally everywhere it counts.  Destroying public parking with Biki, bike lanes which no bike ever travels.  It is a key agenda of their cult.

By tormenting drivers at an ever increasing rate, they drive desperation and risk-taking on hapless citizens who must traverse this rock for work and family.

It is an agenda - and each tick up in that death statistic is the ammunition they use to accelerate their agenda of torment and obstruction.

You see it right here - they’re completely open about their intentions.  What these demons keep on the low-down is that it’s their plan to torment, to abuse.

Until the population here finally figures it out and strings these ^%*%%#>’s up by their heels, it will only get worse.

Don't forget how our state coerced the public into taking experimental dna-altering drugs with listed side effects that include rage psychosis

And what do you propose would be their end goal?

Would they be counting on the middle class to move off the islands to make way for more wealthy blue voters from the mainland to move in?

I see problems already, they would have nobody to work the remedial jobs, anywhere from busing tables at restaurants, to cleaning their fancy homes and landscaping their properties.
Illegal Migrants to fill in the jobs? That would be a possibility if the Trump Admin wasn't already deploying ICE to round up said illegals, there was a big bust on Kauai just over a month and a half ago.

We know robots are no where near the capacity to take over these very "human" forms of manual labor. Just look up any compilation of failing robots on YT and you will be reassured that the only form of AI that poses a threat to the workforce is an algorithm that could be a greater threat to desk-jockeying bureaucrats.

Can we assume that while they can conjure long term plans they are incredibly stupid about thinking things through from start to finish?
ex. instead of "Ready, aim, shoot" they go "Ready, shoot"

It's more like they know we are running out of resources because of their mismanagement and fraud, and things are about to get a lot worse, but they would rather rule over an ash heap than voluntarily surrender their power and privilege.

If you have to build more things, that's more money in politicians pockets.

Bike lanes suck. They made one on Ward Ave. So now turning right from Ward onto Kapiolani can't be done if there's a car there who isn't turning.  Before the bike lane, even with a car not turning, you had enough space to go aournd them so you can turn right on red.

You get priced out of the auto market and are locked in a 15 minute city.

Politicians keep their car allowance and enjoy less traffic.

It all works out in the end,

Yes.  They are viscous ideologues.

They are accelerating their destruction all the while knowing that between half and 70% of the working age population (depending on the survey) are leaving, or seriously considering leaving, the state.

That is a terminal collapse of the tax base, and the end of them.

Yet they foam at the mouth even more.

Heard the one about the scorpion and the frog?

“The Scorpion and the Frog is a fable that illustrates how some individuals cannot resist their harmful instincts, even when it leads to their own downfall. In the story, a scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river, but stings the frog midway, dooming them both, as it claims it is simply in its nature to sting.”
