In my simplistic humble opinion, the very people we elected to congress are the ones who created this mess.
Immigration laws that were complex and deemed "complicated" by the stupid mixture of due process and "constitutional rights" to those who are clearly not American citizens and have entered the country through illegal means.
Combine this by the irresponsibility by both sides of the aisle to not enforce current immigration laws, not protecting the border, and not introducing legislation to bolster, clarify, and strengthen the almost ancient present laws already in place.
In other words, years and years of looking the other way. Depending who is currently POTUS and what party is in power. Relying on executive orders instead of concrete legislation that will stand the test of time.
Congress is to blame for this mess. And now the idiots who we've put there are now pointing fingers at each other, saying the other side is responsible.
This is what happens when the people elected to congress forget who they serve and what they serve. The people and our country, the United States of America.
When legislation is even being considered in banning people who have worked for ICE and the Border Patrol from applying for LE jobs, it fortifies the fact that our country is hopelessly polarized, the battle lines have been drawn, and the inevitable civil war that everyone dreads but doesn't want to think about is just around the corner.
And hawaii, criticized by the nation as the state with dumb gun laws, corrupt governments, and dumb senators, leads the charge.
