Good post! - no firearm instructor is a substitute for your own critical thinking ability with respect to your lawful use of a firearm - or any other deadly weapon, for that matter.

Had  a student in a class that did anchor shots during scenario practice.  Everyone is like WTF.  I was hoping he was playing around, but I don't think so.

We call them "Failure to stop" shots.
If you get 2 center mass and the threat continues, most likely a vest and/or drugs with either making your first 2 shots negligible.

Anchor shots are different.   The perp is down and stopped, then you put a shot in the head to make sure hes dead - anchored to the ground forever.

Let’s hope that individual is never in a position to prove it one way or the other.

This makes me remember the movie the Longest Yard.  Burt Reynolds asks the lifer Old Man if it was worth it.

Yeah, as an old man myself, I can see myself as that old man.

In Hawaii, one shot, 2 shots, or 100 shots.  You still f*cked.  Worst thing in the world is you get screwed after one shot while the perp survives and walks free.  This is Hawaii.

Consolation prize: (You still will be f*cked).  But the everlasting pleasure of a mag dump and creating that special anchor for your memories in prison.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Yeah, once stone-age communists are running the show, you are living in the morally inverse world of their making, which is why everything you say above is true in Hawaii.

The rub is though, that while they are all surely already in the poop chute to hell, you are not expected to want to join them, as far as God is concerned.

The price of paradise is indeed steep.
