https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2026/05/16/plan-erase-91m-medical-debt-hawaii-families-heads-governor/

article states that only $500k is needed to erase $91M in debt.
Upon further research, it seems that the entity that claims it can use $500k to erase $91million in debt, is headquartered in Minneapolis, next door to the Quality Learing Center, which just put a down payment on a new Ferrari SF90XX

for their new driving school, Quality Diving Center.

sounds hokey as hell.

doesn't this fit the old saying of "throwing good money after bad"?

I guess it's okay, after all, the state throws away millions already on fraud, waste and abuse.  What's a half-a-mil between friends, right?
