HIFICO Website & Membership Function Up and Running?
« on: July 08, 2026, 02:51:20 PM »
Just some questions to those in the know of such things:

1. Seems like HIFICO's site is back ready to do business - including accepting memberships again - is this correct?  The reason I ask is that I used the webpage a few years ago to join and pay - but it immediately went dark, and I never received any acknowledgements or updates - it's like it never happened.  I want to again, but just what to check to make sure HIFICO and the site are fully resourced to do such things.

2. I saw HIFICO's open letter to merchants on fakebook, and wanted to say I thought it was very well done - especially in reference to the legions of gun owners in Hawaii.  There are more guns in Hawaii than people - by far, and merchants should damn well know it.  Has anyone approached the Retail Merchants of Hawaii to participate in their security meetings to educate them that putting up the sign does the EXACT OPPOSITE of promoting safety?  They are attempting to deliberately exclude the most law-abiding (HPD verified!) citizens the state has to offer, in favor of encouraging criminals to enter their newly minted free-fire zones - THAT is the reality.  The rhetoric and paradigm being lathered onto merchants in this process is 100% inverse and mental - it needs to be myth-busted hard.

3. I fully agree with and support the approach that we need to exhaust education and customer communication and pressure first, but there absolutely MUST be multiple liability fronts a business faces in going to war with the Bill of Rights protections of their customers.  I've suggested one elsewhere here, and saw many better ones on fakebook, etc.  Just asking for confirmation: Is HIFICO etc. exploring?  We are of course on islands, and the local Khmer Rouge bets the farm on their ability terrorize every square inch of them.

Many thanks in advance for any knowledgable responses that are forthcoming.

I'm sure a great many have the same or similar questions.

Huh.

No response from the HIFICO-whisperers.....

Maybe they all entered the witness protection program ;)

HIFICO is restarting again, died off for a little while but it'll be running again soon.

As far as the signage.  Most businesses don't know much about it except guns must be bad.  A big boycott is a last resort.  Just gotta talk to the business owners about it and they'll understand.

Why did it die for a little bit?

As a lifetime member of HIFICO I really know very little about HIFICO.

I left the organization 3 years ago and the org had to update the business side.  It's back up again but I'm not sure where it goes from here.  I encourage you to write them on the Facebook page or email asking what their plans are, what events they have planned, and how you can help.

I was added to the Board of Directors for HIFICO this year to fill Zippz vacancy. We are still active, but we find that this site is "Preaching to the Choir" except for the obvious trolls.

We are still out there fighting as seen with the Wolford case. We expect the next legislative session to be full of retaliatory bills for our recent wins.

Very well said and 100% assured: Communists must extinguish ALL human liberty, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES can they allow the people to be armed against them.

After 52 years here, I truly believe that the only way to effectively block them - for good - is to form real, working coalitions, among the 30% + of us here who believe in our constitutional freedoms and rights as U.S. citizens.

We are of every conceivable color, creed and station of life in these islands.

Our individual primary interests vary from group to group, but we pretty much all agree on all of them - and all of us are oppressed by the stone-age communists who have a death grip on the levers of power here.

If we all rallied to each other's causes, we would break the kneecaps of the junta here.

As long as we all fight them separately, they will retain the advantage.

I know - this is a lofty expectation - but it is hardly a radical idea.

We don't even seem to be able to do this though, even among ourselves in the 2A community.

However we could do it, just by establishing, in every senate district for example, a group of guys who would, from time to time, go together and lobby the politicians in that area.

At minimum, they'd know we were serious and ORGANIZED.

This is offense.

Unfortunately, so far we have just defaulted to defense only - responding to their attacks on us after the fact.

Defense may not be enough to counter a session "full of retaliatory bills for our recent wins."

Just wanted to throw this out there for people to think about - given where we're at.

There is much they are committed to taking away from us.
