Just a small rant and observation....
I saw post #48 from yesterday'.
I turned it off after 2 minutes because the lady talking used the F word four times. When I was growing up, the F word was only used sparingly. IMHO, it's excessive swearing and demonstrates a stunning lack of class.
Been watching police body cams and "Black Fatigue" videos lately. Seems like women, regardless of race, have adopted the Sailors' vocabulary, especially the F-word. This is very prevalent when they are angry and/or.intoxicated.
In my house, the very first time one of my daughters used a "bad word," I explained they get one freebie. Next time, they get punished. I told them their mother and I don't swear in front of them, and I expect them to not swear in our house either. I can't control the words they use away from home, but other people will be judging them. Keeping our house clear of cussing minimized the desensitization process. I told them that one day they may have a job where such language would get them in trouble if they can't control it.
The adults in my family swore regularly, so the "do as I say and not as I do" conflict existed. That's a common thing with parents telling kids not to learn bad habits like cussing, smoking, drinking, etc. while standing at the checkout to pay for cigarettes and wine and complaining that prices are too f-ing high!
