Unfortunately, "these people" have shown to be more inclined to engage in mass murder than the general population.

When 0.6% of the population identify as trans, and 1.6% of mass shooters are also identified as trans, the indication is clear. The group is more susceptible to radicalization and mental illnesses leading to violence.

While I've never believed stats will be the deciding factor in 2A debates, we do have to acknowledge that only recently has transgenderism been normalized and no longer treated as a mental illness.  Before then, transgenderism was a disqualifying condition for firearm purchase and possession. I think we are seeing the justification to recategorize transgenderism as a mental illness again.

If only the law acknowledged that reality instead of trying to find ways to restrict freedoms under the guise of preventing crime.
