New Signage on Waikamilo Road
« on: November 03, 2026, 07:36:37 PM »
Today i witnessed the installation of a “NO GUNS ALLOWED Sign being installed going to a parking lot on WAIKAMILO Road.,  The business will be main unnamed.

I was thinking to myself, do the people that are NOT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS read signs?

Just like how the term “ALOIHA” will protect us.

CMON…let’s be REAL!  The world is changing…and we cannot rely on the POLICE Arriving really fast.  It’s kind of like “flipping” the coin…

I have noticed that all across the state, CCW license holders are “flocking” to take a class.

Don’t get me wrong.  I hope i will never have to use my gun BUT if i do, I’m going to take my “BEST SHOT(S).

Remember the recent Silver Rail Elementary Shooting…If the good guy with a gun didn’t “end” the situation, we might have had more dead people.  The shooter had what 44 more rounds….Oh Boy

Everyone Take Care!

Aloha!

Why not name the business if it's public information?

Each no guns sign that goes up is concerning.  People will see it and get used to it.  Then more businesses will put up signs knowing there won't be repercussions.  It'll accelerate.  At some point it'll be impossible to reverse.

That's what the politicians and gun orgs are counting on.  They don't need a signage law.

Yep - saw two in Kahala Mall recently: Both in the buildings around McDonalds.  One was outside the group of shops where Brug is located, the other outside the little office building where Kapa Hale is.

It’s a shame these businesses are now publicly advertising themselves as free-fire zones for criminals.

I think their property insurers should be notified that they are now promoting crime on their premises - should be rated as higher risk now.

Too bad for them our carry laws are strictly concealed carry…. their signs are 100% unenforceable anyway…..

They get all possible downside from this - truly Darwin Award material.

Take your business elsewhere.

Also, noted no security presence whatsoever.  Since they are demanding the forfeiture of 2A rights on their premises, but are providing no security to their patrons in its its stead, they are likely taking on significant liability should they be targeted by some maniac.  No safe harbor preventing a civil suit against them on this basis.

this is some unicorn fantasy that has gone out of control and goes against all sense of reality. Even Willy Wonka wouldn't take a lick of this everlasting dumbstopper.
One can drive in traffic for an hour and see how INEFFECTIVE signs are. Stop signs. Traffic signs. Don't turn etc. The ultimate antithesis to "ALOHA" that no one wants to acknowledge is the AINOKEA !

I will

1. take my business elsewhere, but also,

2. regard all such signs on private property as 100% unenforceable attacks on my personal safety, and treat them precisely as such - as a fart in the wind.

The "No Guns Allowed" prominently displayed on businesses will make customers feel safe and secure.

You don't argue with them trying to use facts and logic.

You call them pro-rape and pro-crime and force them to defend their self-contradicting ideology.

If you dissolve your enemies in acid, technically that's turning your problems into a solution.

Maybe we should start notifying these businesses that they just lost a great customer when we find these.   Higher ups only see numbers and they may not realize the cause of their lower sales unless told.

I completely agree with Kalihi Uka about these people opening themselves to liability.  If I am disarmed because a damn sign and then I get robbed or mugged you bet your ass im gonna sue the daylight out of that business, or hopefully the state since they get mo money.

What all those signs should really say is "We only support criminals and the government having guns, law abiding citizen- get fucked"
shooting guns, spreading buns & raising sons

Watch.

The state government is going to pass immunity laws for businesses that put up these stupid signs.

We are far from helpless against this tyranny here!

I've brought this up before, but no one knowledgable chimed in (I am not an attorney - only can read English a bit), but there is Federal Law that appears to really fit well what these monsters out here are doing.

It's 42 U.S.C. §1983 "Under Color of State Law"

"The term “color of state law” has its roots in the Reconstruction Era following the civil war. During this period, there was a pressing need to ensure that the newly emancipated African Americans were protected from oppressive state and local governments in the South. Section 1983 was enacted as part of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 to address this concern.

The “color of state law” concept was introduced to encompass actions by individuals who, although not necessarily government officials, were acting in a manner that appeared to be sanctioned by the state. In other words, it extends liability not only to government actors but also to those acting on behalf or under their authority."

"The plaintiff must show that the alleged violation occurred under the “color of state law.” This means that the defendant’s actions were somehow connected to state authority, whether through a statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom."

In other words, unless these business had always posted these "No Guns" signs outside their businesses, i.e. since before the state and counties began the unconstitutional "vampire rule" campaign - which included the C&C of Honolulu providing templates for the damn things, etc., it would be very easy to show that these business were simply acting in concert with the state's interest - I mean c'mon, that was the state's whole agenda in Wolford v. Lopez - make all private businesses de facto off limits for the 2A!

There are no dots here to connect between the state's failed agenda and now the "No Guns" signs popping up here.

It's a friggin bright red line connecting it all!

There was even a bill in the legislature to force businesses to post signs yes or no on guns!

Civil litigation is like the plague to private businesses - file suit against one, and they will all collapse.

I hope someone out there at HIFICO, etc., is examining this, as it may be time to shove the left's evil back up it's ass and use civil rights litigation against them for a change.

A law stemming from discrimination in the Reconstruction Era as the weapon to use against the stone-age communists here! - oh the friggin irony!

Everyone take not that these signs didn't magically come into the owners head. Someone is behind the scenes making calls to them.

Yep, discovery would be a real party for these businesses if this were to ever evolve into a suit under this Federal code ......

Anyway, the facts here seem to mirror exactly what the law is targeting - "constitutional rights infringement by proxy."
