This is exactly what I tell anyone who asks me this question. What I usually say is that it is not the point. Whether we need 30 round mags is not the point. The point is the government is trying to take away something from us that is perfectly legal and not lethal in any way.

No one needs automobiles, or hammers or knives with sharp points. Let's all remember this is how the weapons ban started in England and Australia. The liberals learned how it worked in those countries. We need to make damn sure it doesn't start the same way here. They were lied to. They traded the promise of safety in exchange for the ownership of guns. And neither government can keep their citizens safe. But it all started with the question what do you need THAT for?
