actually we need to thank the no/against
and tell the yes/for people how disappointed we are

the bill was to repeal the liability exemption (to restore liability)
not repealing means that the exemption still exists

We should also call and email the ones who voted against HB 426 and tell them how disappointed we are in them.

Wow, that sounded close.  One vote.  But as you are aware, anti-gunners have a tendency to re-submit the same BS bills year after year.  It doesn't take much for the voting to change by one vote by sheer random chance or a representive's flat tire on the way to the session.  And they know it!

I'd recommend you carefully review all the statements in support of that bill and develop several counter-arguments for each of them before they resubmit that bill in the next session.

And concentrate efforts at the caucus level to defeat whomever introduced that bill in the first place.  A real concentrated effort in that person's district, even if it doesn't actually defeat that party's re-election, might well give them pause before they re-introduce that crap again.

That's the technique leftists use --concentrated local maximum effort in specific critical districts --but that I don't think "rightists" have caught on to yet.

Or at least haven't learned to  use effectively.

Buttonhole politics, is what I call it.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

it is late
your first two highlighted sentences are correct

however, the third highlighted one where you want to express disappointment
the people were are disappointed in voted FOR HB426, not voted against HB426 as you stated
they did vote against our wishes, which is what i think you meant
i'm just being nitpicky, i am sorry for causing any trouble
it's not what i meant to do

good night
