A few salient quotes from the cited article which make my heart soar like an eagle:

Quote
What should one expect in response to this heightened rhetoric and legislative hysteria? Citizens in other countries react differently to government intrusion into their lives, but Americans are uniquely independent.

There still are a few of us who will not be pressed into the mold.

Quote
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., did not intend her gun-ban proposal to cause skyrocketing sales of semiautomatic rifles and pistols, but that’s what happened. She must live with the consequences of her shameless political exploitation of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

I can't imagine that she could be ashamed.  Her self-righteous lockbrain will not allow it.

Quote
Perhaps they should take a day off and visit the monuments at Lexington and Concord, and reflect on what prompted those colonists to stand their ground. It was the first time in American history that the government moved to seize arms and ammunition from its citizens, and it went rather badly for the British.

An incident which is minimized, sanitized, or omitted altogether in our modern educational system.

Well said, Mr. Gottlieb!

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

Don't thank me, thank Dave Kopel.  He does an amazing amount of legal and historical research on 2A issues.  His output is incredibly prodigious, academically accurate, and reliable.

One of our unsung heroes, in my mind.

From:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Kopel

Quote
Kopel opposes gun control and is a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association. His articles on gun control and gun violence have been cited in the Opposing Viewpoints Series.[4] In 2003, Kopel wrote in National Review "Simply put, if not for gun control, Hitler would not have been able to murder 21 million people.[5]" He recently contributed an article to the 59th Volume of the Syracuse Law Review entitled "The Natural Right of Self-Defense: Heller's Lesson for the World."[6] He is a critic of Michael Moore and provided a list of what he characterized as Moore's "deceits".[7][8] He appeared in FahrenHYPE 9/11, a film that disputes the allegations in Fahrenheit 9/11.
(Bolding mine.)

If you want the straight skinny on anything 2A related, put "kopel + (subject area)" in your favorite search engine.
