Group of 2A-Supporting Gun Makers Now Refusing to Sell Arms to Law Enforcement (Read 14590 times)

I see this a little differently.

I don't think anyone is deliberately trying to undermine LEO's.

Its a pretty simple logistical choice: only sell what is legal for civilians in a particular state and your nose is always clean. For a small company this is an easy decision to make. Larger companies with more LE business already have systems in place to handle any differences in what is legal for civies and legal for LEO's.

Magpul also has enormous liabilities manufacturing items that are illegal in their home state.

This isn't just activism as much as it is simple, practical and realistic response to changing laws.

Wouldn't surprise me...they're a German owned company.

this is the same LE that rounded up asian americans and put them into camps for "national security"

the very same ones that allowed chinatown to burn to the ground.

the same LE that beat and shot at protesters asking for their natural born rights to equality.

LE that does no knock warrants on the wrong homes and ends up killing innocent families.

LE that went house to house after katrina confiscating guns and forcing people into govt camps.

LE that decides it's okay to burn down a house with a suspect in it with no due process of the law.

LE that left thousands to fend for themselves during the LA riots.

The LE does not protect the individuals or our families as their mission. They do not carry guns for our defense and they are not a preventive force when it comes to crime. They are a government endorsed monopoly on force and the less force the government has the safer we are all likely to be. Just following orders makes you as guilty as those giving the orders.

If you're so anti-LE don't call 911. Lets just see how far that gets you. It's not LE that's the proplem. It's the law makers. Fix that!

I never call 911.

I call 900 numbers.  >:D
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Has nothing to do with them being German.  It's because they cater to LEO & military.

Google, "Because you suck and we hate you," some pretty funny stuff.

Agree, they do cater to LE/Military but the Federal gov still has to abide by the FAR for contracts, so KA does help but only goes so far regarding contracts...no guarantees.  Not sure what rules state and local government play by regarding contracts.

i don't call the cops for help, i call them to make a report after i'm done making sure all my stuff is safe and when they do show up i make sure to establish the boundaries of which they can investigate in my home. I'm even allowed to carry in Hawaii because of LEOSA, a federally endorsed class of rights given to LEOs separating the citizens into subjects and rulers.

the one time i have called 911 was AFTER a car accident.

all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing, so just because they don't mean to do evil does not absolve them of evil doing.

I'll bet those fat ugly housewives who are talking dirty to you over those 900 numbers could get to your hale for a "C" Note faster than the police can!

:wtf: Blaming LE for politicians mistakes is like blaming Vietnam soldiers for fighting in an unjust war... It would be similar to blaming Iraq and Afghanistan veterans for the war..... While on some philosophical level I support these companies making this decision ... The politicians are the ones who are making these laws not law enforcement officers.... Just like the soldiers are not the ones who chose the war their just fighting the battle doing their duty.... Put blame where blame is due!!!!

BTW I am not saying that Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan were just or unjust wars I'm using it an argument to point out the absurdity of blaming people for not making the decisions.... And please don't come up with the Nuremberg defense were not talking about genocide.....

Agree...Law enforcement is caught in the crosshairs and it's definitely not their fault and they shouldn't be to blame...politicians are the culprits. Some companies in the firearm industry are taking a strong 2a stand because of some of the frivolous legislation states are pushing, and politicians are seeing some of the unintended consequences of their actions. Obviously Coumo could care less; he is one of the most ignorant and arrogant politicians there is. LE will get what they need one way or another, so I believe it will have zero impact on the enforcement of laws or public safety. IMO this is more symbolic than anything and the companies are sending a clear message to law-makers, which is the same message as other 2a advocates and gun enthusiasts, and that is the government is clearly infringing on citizens 2a rights. Their position is law-abiding citizens face the same threat and criminals that law enforcement face everyday, whether in their homes or on the street and they should be afforded the same firearms and ancillary equivalent equipment (within reason) that LEO do to protect and defend themselves and families. Whether right or wrong could be debated but I believe that is their primary reason and rational behind their decision. A secondary driver may be financial and each one of these companies will be impacted differently.
