Just took survey, I am a former active duty marine and I remember my oath. As far as my high school education is concerned there was a limited time on my active service but none on my oath. Whether military or civilian police, they are volunteer employees, subservient to there bosses the American citizen. They are not the select chosen of Politicians. God gave us life but it's up to you and me to protect it.

I'm still surprised as to how many service members think that the 2A only applies to them. I had an interesting talk with a retired Navy guy about the ownership of ARs and he said that it is too powerful for a civilian to have. We also argued about how it can be "easily" converted to full auto. I told him that the NFA act in 1968 prohibits it but he still insisted that it can be converted. I asked him how and he said that it was still "too easy". I gave him the example of the sheriff or state? armorer who got caught with DIASs and was convicted. He continued to argue the point that it was too easy for an AR to be converted to full auto. Frustrating. I should have argued with a wall.

seriously.  there are way too many prior service members who think they are owed more than other citizens just because they served (half of them at a desk).

ALL citizens are equal, and that's the rights they were SUPPOSED to be protecting.

Standing armies ALWAYS lead to tyranny.  That's why a well regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free state.....

Raaaah.  Unfortunately, in my experience, many Marines and other servicemembers don't think the same way you do.

I know the feeling.  They say it's so easy, yet can't show me "which part to replace" or "what part to file down."
