There are still seats available. If you haven't heard of Ms. Froman, here is some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandra_Froman

She is a very dynamic speaker and is still on the NRA board. This would be an excellent chance to meet an icon of Second Amendment rights, as well as voice your concerns, or attempt to solicit advice and/or assistance from the NRA in our local fight for 2A rights.....

Too bad marion Hammer isn't coming too.

I'd like to meet her.

Wife and I have already met Suzanna Gratia-Hupp, Texas legislator that lead the CCW movement there.
She saw her parents shot and killed at Lubby's cafeteria.

Were we suppose to have gotten tickets or anything mailed back to us, or just show up?

I don't think there are tickets and that attendees will be confirmed at the event. But, I am checking on that and if it's something different I'll let you know. See you there.

I just got all of that on Thursday< Nov 4.

FWIW, traffic has been backing up at the back gate(Mokapu Road) starting at 6am or earlier.  Muct be checking vehicles going on to the base.

All good there are no tickets to worry about =). Called the man himself and got confirmation that I am paid and good to go. Will be there with bells on bringing my HD camera and will record the event and post it up after.

** Sorry! I wasn't authorized to shoot video =(  **

So just to update people (briefly) will post more later. It was a great lunch (except for the food IMO, could have been a lot better). It was a great opportunity for like minded people to meet and discuss some of our issues.  Ms. Froman was a good speaker and she does a phenomenal job with the NRA.    We have a expansive amount of ground to cover here in Hawaii. However, we will get there.  I was able to personally discuss some issues with Ms. Froman; to which she seemed very receptive of our ideas.   We all owe the HRA and the federalist society at UH for the pleasure of her coming to Hawaii.  We also had the pleasure of seeing Senator Slom, Senator Mike Gabbard and one of our House Representatives there.

Thanks to Bill (HRA), Harvey (HRA), Erica (Hawaii Fed. Society), and to the NRA Representatives that were there Carolyn, Mike, and Ms. Froman.

Just got in from the HRA dinner at Kaneohe marine Base.

Had a very good time.  Food was great, went back for seconds.  Wife enjoyed the entire event.
She got to chat with her friends who she doesn't see too often.

I got to bid unsuccesfully on a few itmes(more than I wanted to spend).

And it was all for a great cause.  High school kids getting new and better equipment to shoot and compete on the national level..

The looks on their faces when awarded New air rifles was worth the money spent.  Waianae kid getting a $1000 match grade air rifle....

In the same line, my friend who Never wins anything, actually won a firearm.  He looked like someone whacked him with a 4 x 4.  Totally stunned.

African safari for $100.  Course you had to get there first, plus extras not included......

Alaska fishing trip $100, but needed a compainion for $2950 plus air fare to/rom Alaska.  Still worth it.

We plan to do it again next year.
