Beretta has over 500 years of doing business in Italy.

Going to get real interesting soon.

Are they inline with the other gun companies pushing the opposition to the asinine gun grabbing that is going on?

Looks like it.

“Why expand in a place where the people who built the gun couldn’t buy it?” said Jeffrey Reh, general counsel for Beretta.

....

In testimony this month in Annapolis, Reh, who oversees the plant, warned lawmakers to consider carefully the company’s future. Reh pointed to the last time Maryland ratcheted up gun restrictions in the 1990s: Beretta responded by moving its warehouse operation to Virginia.

“I think they thought we were bluffing” in the 1990s, Reh said. “But Berettas don’t bluff.”
I think, therefore I am armed.

Well, those jobs will turn up in a more gun friendly state so the bottom line of jobs doesn't really change.

It DOES change for Maryland and the extended supply food chain that Beretta has nailed down with its military contract, though.

The statistics are interesting, too. Over half a million pistols made for the military. That's a lot, but over a million sold to civilians. That a lot of butter for Beretta's bread that isn't coming from the military contract.

Wait, so they were in maryland, moved in the 1900s, then moved back later on, or partially moved back?
