Thoughts and opinions on the Dan Wesson 1911 Valor
« on: February 24, 2013, 03:52:58 PM »
Hey everyone I need some feedback & info on this 1911 and maybe some history. I'm wanting one.

1) what do you all think about this firearm
2) is it available locally?
3) what should be the current price brand new? Used?

Security Equipment is a Dan Wesson  :thumbsup:dealer. Saw a stainless Valor there last year and it was selling in the 1300 range.

I didn't know about SEC thanks for sharing.
And for the 1st reply I still have yet to hold a valor. But I'm sure you are right.

If your looking into a 1911 might want to check out some sigs also I have a sig stx 1911 and it is a great gun for the price. Things I notice that were different compared to the valor is it is a bit lighter not by much, has slightly more aggressive strap checkering It also has ambi saftey and a magwel which the valor doesn't. I would say the valor has a nicer trigger but not a eight to a thousand dollars nicer which the all black is, the stainless is a little cheaper. all in all if u got the coin to drop and want a really nice out the box 1911 Dan Wesson's are sweet but I think there are better options for your dollar.

OGC has a Dan Wesson in their case.  I don't know what model.

IMHO if I was to buy another 1911, Dan Wesson would be one of the manufacturers I would look at.

Dan Wesson has close to  everything that a ed Brown 1911 has but not with the Ed Brown Price.

OP, I have 2 that I might consider letting go. One is gently used, the other brand new.
PM me if you are interested.
