hell yeah i remember when they were at those prices, like 6 months ago.  now its at least 50-60 bucks for a cheap brick of .22lr.  I'll remember which dealers gouge after this crazyiness is over!  gaurentee I wont be going back to them!

so is the concensus that it's worth going to this gunshow?  I've never been to a gun show in hawaii before before.  How does buying handguns and long guns at the gun show work when you buy from an individual or from a dealer?  In Arizona I just pay money (in cash usually, then again I can carry without a permit there when I have a couple of grand worth of cash on me) and walk out with a crap load of guns.  Do you pretty much gotta bring a lot of cash to these things or do they take creditcards/debit cards and/or paypal?  With my personal business, I have a creditcard reader right on my phone and can take creditcard payments thru there anywhere I have a cell signal.  Hopefully they got the same thing here.

It's cash and some of the lgs that have registers can do credit, debt, etc.  Individuals best to have cash.

Not sure about long guns, but for pistols, due to the registration, you usually pay for the gun or leave a deposit and your info, take the firearm info and apply for the permit.  Once it clears, contact seller and finish the deal.

None of those gun show loopholes here.

Hows the individual traders market at these shows. Can you bring in a small enough to carry collection of stuff to sell/trade without getting a table? Any special process at door if so?

Do any of the vendors take trades? I assume since there will be FFL dealers there, can they take a pistol off me that day? Long guns I assume is same day to anyone with a valid permit in hand or FFL?

Anyone with experience in doing so?

Here's my gameplay.

Go early on Saturday morning to snag the "super deals"

Go again on Sunday and make sure you're when the show is finished and people are packing up.

This way the people that thought their shit was worth a lot will realize that it's not and you can snag a good deal.

The other thing that happens is the people that don't want to tote all their crap ack home will take a short deal on their guns & stuff.

I've gone to the "gunshow" on many different occasions.  The best thing I get at the show is pretty good deals on ammo and surplus ammo cans.  Other than that most of the stuff is the regular price you could get at the store any day of the week.  But for some reason I keep on going.  You never know what you might find.  To me it's worth the admission just to check out all the cool stuff.  I think if I don't have to work I'll try to do the early bird method.  To be honest most of the times I went was on sundays, so I can't speak to the early bird or late sunday deals.

Back on topic.  My wish is to find some 556 ammo for pre-craziness prices, and a 22lr pistol or rifle for a good price.
