Mk12 Mod 1

I briefly talked to you about your clone on Sunday. I still want to build a 22LR Mod H someday.

Here's my SPR build.

You should, it's tons of fun shooting 22LR, especially at 100 yards...it's like shooting 223 at 600 yards. I think it makes you a better wind reader.

So I went with 22LR cause I already have an 18" 223 centerfire gun so why build another one. Plus obviously with 22LR there's no need to reload, clean as often, and a 22 is just in general a fun grab and go to the range caliber.

This is my centerfire "spr" with and without the surefire socom "training" can.

FYI I spoke to allen engineering to make a fake model 12 can. They didnt want to do it cause they couldn't guarantee that the can wouldnt affect the decibel level per ATF rules.

Yeah...what's under the bullets?
Are those sierra 180s? See pic attached
...
Zooming in on the photo, I don't see much crimp.
I like to get a little more bite into the cannelure groove.

those are Sierra 240 grain JHC.  and 240 grains LSWC.
same load for both, 15.5 grains of accurate #9
I've done this load before.  lower velocity target loads.  easy on the hands.  feels like 44sp.  I don't have a chronograph, so I just use my palm chrono.
getting ready for my new 3" barrel Vaquero in 44magnum with birdshead grip.
I figure I better make some lighter loads for this one.

Perfect.
I like to load 180 sierras with 30something H110. Great fun load for letting friends shoot.
Big flash bang but little recoil. Damn accurate too.

Typically, I'll order an 8x10 glossy suitable for framing and give it to my shootin' friends.
It's a great souvenir.
That 180 gr/ H110 load would look awesome from that 3" revolver.
What, Me Worry?
