ammo sales
« on: March 11, 2013, 09:39:16 AM »
Quote
You may not know this but George Soros owns most of the ammunition
manufacturing companies and many arms manufacturers as well. He's
selling
ONLY to the government right now, per WH & DHS orders. My son
works for ATK, who owns just about all the rest of the ammunition companies
that Soros doesn't own. He tells me that ATK has been ordered by the
federal government to curtail sales of ammunition, primers and powder to
the retail market. What you see currently on the shelves is old stock
and what's left in the warehouses since the CT shootings and new stock
will NOT be appearing anytime soon. ATK and Soros' companies have more
than enough government contracts to keep them going for years to come.
Like Soros' companies, ATK is a huge defense contractor and they've
been told to sell ONLY to the DOD, TSA, FBI, DHS and local/federal law
enforcement agencies. This is VERY scary and VERY ominous for what's coming
down the pike in the future. My son has seen the proposed pricing schedule for Federal, CCI,
Hornady, Remington, Winchester and several other ammunition manufacturer's
lines of ammunition, components, reloading equipment (ATK owns Outers,
RCBS, Hoppe and a host of others) and he's flabbergasted! As an example, when
the sales of .22 LR bulk ammo resumes, the pricing will be over $50.00
for a 535-round Value Pak! That's nearly a dime-a-shot!! They're also
going to raise the prices by 300 - 400% on dies, presses, powder measures
and the like. He's in management there at ATK in Salt Lake City and
they're NOT happy with it at all! They firmly believe this will basically
shut-down the civilian market while leaving the government as the only
purchaser of their products. He saw the government pricing for the centerfire

ammunition they've been stockpiling and their prices have actually
dropped from a year ago so the feds are buying this stuff REAL cheap while
we can't even get our hands on it at all!
Something I've always said since Obummer came onto the scene in
2008 is that, even if they can't actually ban the weapons themselves, the
government will make it nearly impossible for us civilians to feed
them with ammo, reloading components and the like. The WH doesn't HAVE
to actually ban the guns, as Biden said in one of his many faux pas,
foot-in-the-mouth, Freudian slip speeches he's famous for making.
" All we have to do is to make it too expensive to use them and the
public will eventually give them back to us if we offer an attractive price
for these weapons". What's an "attractive price" - a $10.00 Walmart gift
card for a $3,000.00 custom hunting rifle? Those were his EXACT words in one
of the speeches he gave to the freshman congressmen last week! Remember,
Biden was one of the architects of the Clinton gun ban of years ago. I
think he's as dangerous to the Second Amendment as Obozo is, maybe more
so, because he's so stupid and doesn't know the muzzle of a gun from
the butt... Feel free to pass this on so gun owners will be aware of what
we're up against. I doubt the NRA can do anything about it, IMHO. La Pierre
can get on all the talk shows he's invited to and cry the blues about
the assault weapons laws that are forthcoming from the WH but the real
crux of the matter will be whether or not we'll ever be able to purchase
ammunition (at all) or, if we can, what we'll be paying for it. As
an aside, here, I deal a LOT with Midsouth Shooters Supply for my
reloading components. Two weeks ago I ordered 500 cases each of .45 Casull,
.44 Magnum, .357 Magnum and 9mm Parabellum. I was told everything I had
ordered was out-of-stock and no in-stock delivery date was being
forecast. They wouldn't even accept a backorder for this stuff! Thing the
government isn't manipulating it? Think again, my friend...

I doubt that the .gov can order a civilian business not to sell to anyone except to .gov. The .gov can influence prices through purchases much like the Fed and quantitative easing.

Pastordennis, you need to get better at posting things lol :)

Anyway, while searching for the source of this, I found a helpful source of information: http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2013/3/rumor-control-ammo-shortages.aspx

interesting article, considering there are about 20 firearm manufactures publicly stating they are refusing firearm sales, or rather following the letter of the law to all citizens in states where bans have occurred.

this has also been circulating on fb for a while as well

I believe this is factual. When you take into account their 2 billion bullets stored in caches across this country and the nearly 3k mine resistant vehicles DHS purchased, one can only assume they're getting ready for a domestic war.

Everyone's got to believe something.

I believe I'll have another beer.

Demand is seriously through the roof. WAAAAY through the roof. It isn't because the government has bought everything up.

Its because even moderates and some moderate liberals are all looking to buy firearms and supplies while they still can. That's new. Everyone, left right center, has ugly end of the world (or at least the economy) scenarios in their normal conversations. That's new, too. The left thinks the hard right is arming for battle with the government. The right thinks the government is arming for battle with the people. For one reason or another ~everyone~ is looking at a lot of potential for trouble so people are stocking up. And people who wouldn't normally be stocking up are stocking up, too.

Its all stupidity driven by fear. Justified. Not necessarily wrong. But we focus on the fear and make the situation worse. And that has driven demand for all kinds of supplies through the roof.

If we came together around the economic / political / environmental potential woes the way we came together around the more tangible challenges present by WWII we'd remember that we kick ass at pulling off difficult things when we work together.

You can believe what you will. I, however, look at a out of control, ever increasing centralized, top-down authoritarian government that not only disregards federal judges ruling against them (the NLRB "recess" appointments, anyone?), but looks to curtail our civil liberties all in the name of feel good, Appeal to Emotion arguments that have been historically proven to fail.

A domestic drone program; nearly 3k mine resistant tanks on wheels;  the stockpiling of 2 billion rounds of ammo that has no military function (they're 9mm /.40 hollow points); and the DHS' own memos like the 2009 MIAC report that classifies libertarians, right wingers, veterans, constitutionalists, and other anti-big government types as the real terrorist threat - well, those things paint a picture of a government prepping for a fight. You can choose to believe it or not.

I saw an article on fb of Sarah or Hillary, I forget who saying the armored vehicles are for when civil unrest occurs. I should have saved the story.

you know what i believe?

I beilieve this is almost exactly the same "story" posted on arfcom a couple months ago about how George Soros had bought up nearly every major manufacturer, with the intent of dissolving them.  it was debunked almost immediately on arfcom, and that's saying something, because the political section there has tin foil hats to protect their tin foil hats.

this is pretty much the exact same story, every time

2@Hawaii. I will try my best at getting better at posting. Maybe I will ask an expert....my 9 yr. old. Anyway I just thought I'd put it out there.clshade, we would be unbeatable if we could come together. However, it started with Dems and keeps getting pushed by them to an extent most people never thought possible. Maybe the geenie is out of the bottle. Either way, conservatives, christians, tea partiers....anybody not a liberal is the enemy. In WWII the enemy was without, here the enemy is within. Just my 2 cents.

Soros really is just the tip of an evil iceberg. We all saw what happened in Upper Kurhakaztan, do you really mean to say thise tides can't wash ashore here? And where will you be, struggling under the arctic meltwater or roasting under an ozone hole? That's what history has proven! Faith and chastity, or no bets are on.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.
