The Heller decision made quite clear that it applied to those firearms that are commonly available and in wide use - like an AR-15.

Repost: The Senate Judiciary Committee passed the assault weapon ban bill out of committee on a 10-8 vote after rejecting a series of Republican amendments, moving it to the Senate floor. Also on the 12th, a bill that would enhance background checks on prospective gun owners passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on a party-line, 10-8 vote. Another measure to improve safety at schools passed on a 14-4 vote.

I hate it when my bullets implode... and slashs through time and space into a trans dimensional warp hole   I feel sorry for Sen. Ted...  It must be frustrating talking to someone that's dumber than a box of rocks.  She clearly has no idea what "military weapons" are.

I actually think she, and the other senator made a good point regarding the duty of Congress vs. the Judiciary.  However, I think that is the only valid point made by them.  I'm hoping this dies as it moves to the floor.
