why doesnt HPD firearms reg department use a ticket system?

I wish HPD firearms reg department use a ticket system so that you can just take a ticket, and come back later (perhaps hours later) when its your turn instead of having to wait in line.  That way you can go and continually feed the meter as needed.  is it that expensive for those little tickets?

Simple...makes to.much sense to do...  its to practal....plus there's no money in the budget.  I'm sure if it was even donated to them it would take forever to implement due to red tape out of thier control.

If they did that, how would they justify closing the doors at 3:00pm lol :closed:

well if I see I'm #58 and they are serving #4, I know I got at least an hour or 2 to come back.  If I miss the ticket call, I gotta get a new one.  if they don't get to my number, they don't get to my number.  Its just like the guys which stand in line at 3pm-3:30pm and don't get served cuz they lock the doors and/or time runs out at 4pm-4:30pm, they just come back the next day.  Nothing hard to figure out about that.

oh I would be upset but not any more upset when I get turned away after 3:30pm and they close at 4:30pm and it saves me time or at least frees me up for a bit to get something to eat or do something for the hour or two wait.  if you get there late, you get there late.  The line is gonna be what it is and people were waiting in December for like 10 hours.  You think the guys which came at 3pm or even 12 noon were pissed they got turned away then?  It's not a perfect system but it is a system which I think would help.
