Ban first. Then push thru mandatory registration later!

They have all the indo already anyway on who law abiding citizens are who own guns.  The criminals will be on their side anyway!

"What we want to make sure is that we're keeping guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them, but without interfering with the ability of law-abiding citizens to get their guns that they would like to buy."

So they shoud simply change the amendment to ban guns from criminals . . .

President still supports it and urges the Senate to vote publicly on the proposal to eliminate "military-style weapons" from American streets as an amendment.

He said the White House has no intention of taking away guns from law-abiding citizens.

umm, something doesn't quite match up.

not a very smart move politically
he's basically calling for a roll call vote on the issue
blues in the mountain states are not going to vote for a ban unless they don't care about winning their next election
could lead to loss of (D) seats in the senate

so he says "ban military style weapons", the Army issue M9 is a 9mm Beretta.  so is that to be banned to?

The Feinstein bill IS  national registration of "Assault Weapons".  Everyone that owns it will have to register it to the federal government.  It will be non-transferable, if I remember right.  they become like an NFA firearm (SBR, Automatic Weapon, etc).  Plus, you'll probably have to buy a stamp.

gun salesman of the decade

it's obvious the plan is to threaten gun ban to the point where it's impossible to even afford guns and ammo.
