sending a long rifle from Hawaii to mainland...question

How do you go about sending a rifle leagally from Hawaii to the mainland?  I know I have to send to a ffl. On our "transfer of firearms" form, do I put the buyers info or the ffl dealers info. Also, I there an easy way to make sure the ffl is legit? Mahaloz in advance.

It is recommended that you ship ffl to ffl to remove your liability. You are permanently married to any firearm if you dont. He'd says it is your responsibility to know who you sold the gun to. Should it ever be used in a cringe or stolen it will come back to you. They do a reverse trace from the manufacturer and work their way to the end user.  When you do it thru an ffl you are leAving a paper trail.

I will never send a gun to the mainland directly. Not worth it.
