Just a way of thinking:  http://www.gleamingedge.com/mirrors/onsheepwolvesandsheepdogs.html

I and the Wife tend to think we are sheep dog people.

Which one are you?

Thanks for that great link.

I like to think I'm a sheepdog.
I am not a lawyer.

I'd like to think that I'm a sheep dog as well.

As a general rule of thumb, I believe that any citizen that owns/carries firearms is taking a positive step in becoming a "sheep dog" to protect his fellow citizens. If you're LEO or military you're taking that extra step even further. Though w/ out CCW, that step we all took isn't as big as it should be, so technically speaking we're all in a gray area of sheep and sheep dog's.

Very good artical.

Sad to say, for right now, most of the time we are sheepdogs without our fangs.

Most of the time I feel like a werewolf that has left his fangs in the gun safe...but thats just me.
Relax, I've banned myself..

I have to agree. I don't think I'm a sheep but I don't act like a sheep-dog either.

If I were to be presented with the unfortunate coincidence to have to defend someone from a wolf, the wolves in government would tear me apart.
(whatever happened to the guy that shot the rampaging elephant and was simultaneously a hero and a criminal?)

If I were to be presented with the unfortunate event of having to defend myself from a wolf, then by all means I'm going to defend myself.

I think a sheep would just take the hit. Sheep dogs would do everything to protect the herd. Maybe I'm more like a wolf that just wants to be left the hell alone?

But I remember reading in that article the difference is when you hear about a mass killing, sheep are glad they weren't there. Sheep-dogs wish they could have been there. So I guess I fall under sheep-dog in that sense.

Read the article a while back. Was a long read but very thought-provoking.

Or a werewolf on a cloudy night.
