So reminds me of my B.I.L.    He did the same thing on the side of his house.  No permit, no plans, nothing.  I wonder if the thing is still standing.

Thanks for posting that thread.  38 pages, but well worth it.  It was better than anything on my TV, and I've got 100 plus cable channel!  A great construction job....I'v bookmarked this one, and will be watching for the pics or time-lapse videos of the shed falling over or sinking into the bog.  Good one....a little off topic, but funny.

He's probably really impressed with the results.

Heck....I'm impressed with the results.  He probably just wanted something that would not fall over right away, be fairly safe, and "work".  He did it.  So what if it's not code or crooked. His lawn mower shed morphed into a "house", just not one that we usually see in USA.  Sounds like the guy owns some property and is wealthy enough to be able to afford to build his shed.  He's probably a shrewd businessman, in his field.  That field is just not construction.  He's living the American Dream.

I really cracked up from one of the comments.... "Well, if he's from North Korea, we have no worries."

Took me a couple of seconds to "get it," but then snorted coffee all over my monitor.

And keyboard.

And bathrobe.

And couch.
I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

That thread is amazing.  I haven't laughed that hard in forever!

I'm going to have to incorporate more keystones into future projects as a homage.

Somehow, it reminds me of the experiments with spiders on psycho-active drugs.  The "sane" spiders spin nice, regular, organized webs.  The "insane" ones build webs which are all helter-skelter and show poor workmanship. Or workspidership.

Sane web:

"Schizophrenic"  web:

It's as if the spider starts a task-component, forgets or blanks-out where it was in the project, then starts over at another component:

"Now where was I?  Oh, I've got to put a strand, like from here to, like, over there, somewhere... now, where was this strand supposed to go?  Oh, I guess, like, here, maybe."

I wouldn't want to overgeneralize this to human populations, like legislative bodies, but did you ever notice how the final forms of laws come about?
