Shouldn't this be tagged in the tactics section? This is self defense.  An Israeli special forces tactic.

I asked about this late last year and found a place called Immortal Spirit Martial Arts Academy that does Krav Maga.

I checked now and found a couple of addresses. I'm not sure which is the current one:

1491 South King Street 2nd Floor?
1007 Waimanu Street, 2nd Floor?

Phone (808) 386-0860

When i asked about it last year, the person said classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays 6:45 / 7:45pm. First class is FREE.  Better call and ask to confirm.

I suggest just watching some view on YouTube. I have several friends from Israel who served in the higher echelons of the military, and they said that it shouldn't take you more than 2 weeks to learn the basics of krav maga, as the system was developed to teach soldiers the most basic form of combat in the shortest time possible.. The focal point should be practicing application of the techniques, which I would recommend should be focused on acquiring training equipment and individuals to train with you.

Remember: krav mags is a basic system, with basic techniques. When you start getting technical and implementing advanced techniques, its not krav maga anymore; and that's what I was told from individuals who teach it in Israel.

thanks but im not looking to take it, im asking for my friend since he is really set on it because of some recent international flight training seminar where they brought in krav maga instructors and did airplane cqb scenarios with hawaiian airlines and some others.
sounds like the instructors made it look easy as usual and claimed its the perfect martial art for the pilots and flight crew. they really got it into the employees minds that they need to specifically take israeli krav maga to take down the arabs,i mean the terrorists.  ;D
im surprised they didnt leave business cards. maybe they teach out of state or country.  ???

and thanks for the info jl808 ill forward that to him.
