+1 on the Python. Bought one 20 years ago. Still have it and will never sell it. Talk about a smooth action...
i have a Ruger GP100 with 6 inch barrel. my favorite handgun that I own.
great .357 revolver
accurate, reliable, and rugged. just like the Ruger slogan. built like a tank.
will probobly last a lifetime, and then some.
I've also shot my friends Colt Python
also a great revolver
maybe a smoother trigger than the GP100
but then my friends gun is a lot older so a lot more rounds thru it than mine
but the python has lasted over 20 years, no problems according to my friend.
357 is a great personal defense/HD gun.
and as mentioned before, can shoot .38 and .38+p loads.
shooting with 38's is so easy on the arms and the ears.
