Was wondering if anybody had some info on dis question was plannin a Vegas trip n jus in case I see something nice I wanted to kno if I would even able to purchase a rifle?? Mahalo'z  :shaka:

Just drive out of Henderson county.  Its cash and carry.  In vegas if I'm not mistaken long rifle is cash and carry,  pistol is 24 hr hold

Clark county aka las Vegas has no long gun permit requirement, only pistol registration. And yes, when buying a pistol, Henderson is where to go. Although I'm unsure if the blue card affects whether you can cash and carry.

The blue card is a card that is issued to you when you register your pistols. It basically states you are of legal status to own and open carry your pistols. Many feel it is unconstitutional, but regardless, it is needed if you own and plan to purchase/add to your pistol collection. Most times, when wanting to purchase a pistol, you just show your blue card and you're all g.

Basically if you have your blue card, it implies you already own a pistol, which means you're legal. No waiting period needed.

dont you need a state ID and/or proof of residency if you wanna buy anything in vegas?  Last time I was there they wouldn't even sell me mags.

Great question!! I have to remember to doing some shopping up there next time.

Now I just have to wonder what the Bellagio's and California's policy on bringing AK-47's into their hotels lol.

Thanx so much on da info I do not own any pistols YET so I had no clue of a blue card issued wen ya get ur pistol permit. Sry I'm a newbie to da sport so please bare wit my not so bright questions. :shaka:

What kind of mags were you trying to buy? My friend just came back and he bought several glock mags. I mean parts kit  ;)

Correct!!   :thumbsup:

Arizona is now a Constitutional Carry state.  They still issue permits in case you desire the training classes, or if you want the permit for reciprocity in other states.  If I counted correctly, it looks like 27 other states accept the AZ CCW Permit.

UPDATE:   According to this site, 30 states honor AZ CCW permits regardless of your state of residence.  If you're an AZ resident, then the total is 36.

I agree, I believe you have to be a resident of Nevada/LV, when I went to Bass Pro shop last time I was in Vegas, the clerk said you have to be a resident to buy, but he was cool enough to talk story and let us handle a few rifles.

Friend in LV who has his ffl license could not sell me a rifle in person (me walking out of the store with the rifle in my name) because I was not a resident of any bordering state of Nevada, California being the exception. He did state he could sell the rifle to a resident of the state of Nevada and or bordering state of Nevada other then California and if that resident decided to gift it to me, that was up to the purchaser. Also I can purchase a rifle up there and have it transferred to Hawaii via ffl.  Hope this helps...

What about pistols? when purchasing out of state and shipping it through FFL. would I still need a pistol permit-affidavit when registering the firearm?
