So, I applied for my CCW last Thursday.

It was a painless process, just needed 2 passport photos and had to fill out some paperwork. The application asked for the guns info, (serial #, make, model, caliber etc) which I would intend to conceal, along with my info which was was basically the same as a handgun permit application. On the back was the section where you explain why you feel the need to conceal. There were also medical waivers, and a basic questionnaire.

**FYI you need to have your handgun's actual registration and 2 passport photos with you to apply.....I learned this the hard way**

I'd like to see how many of us have applied and I'd also like to know how they replied and/or denied the application.

Yes, exactly.

I believe that the CCW permit, if issued, would contain the handguns info on it along with your picture and personal info.

Costco does them for about $5 for 4 and 15 minutes later you get them.

I think Longs Drugs also does them.

Costco, Walgreens, ... pretty much any place with a photo service area.

Walmart has an online service.  Upload the picture, edit, order, and pick up at the local store!

Wtf so even if you do get one it's only for one gun?!  So much for switching carry guns, or if you eventually sell it. 

Edit:  So I looked at the application form in the other thread and there are multiple boxes to put different firearms in, so I'm assuming you can put a bunch of guns there you wanna carry?

Hopefully u can put all of em on the permit. Jus bring ur stack and when they ask which gun say "these".

That's how it seems. The current application only had 1 spot for handgun. But on the older CCW application it allowed for 3 i believe.....not sure why it changed or if you're allowed to register more than one.

Also, according to HRS §134-9  Licenses to carry ...

Unless renewed, the license shall expire one year from the date of issue.

A fee of $10 shall be charged for each license

I read it as you only have to pay when** the license is granted!  Maybe if the state REALLY NEEDS more revenue to balance the budget, they can start granting licenses?

It's even like that in states that actually approve CCW permits. I was reading about getting one in Nevada, and it was only for a specific firearm.

For Nevada its by handgun type - revolver, semi auto or both. You are allowed to CCW any handgun of your choice if you have qualified for both revolvers and semi autos.
I just received my Nevada CCW a couple weeks ago after applying in December, I qualified with a Glock 19 so on my permit it states I can only CCW semi autos.
