I was in Young Guns yesterday and the lady there said she had a couple of different guys from Maui who went in and told her it was true.

Couldn't friggin' believe it.

1.  Buy 11 pounds of .22 ammo from Sports Authority (or wherever) at inflated prices (Let's say 2,000 rounds).
2.  Fly to Maui.
3.  Set up a booth selling the ammo at the never-to-be-beaten low rate of $0.75/round
4.  Fly home.  Count my money.  Repeat.

Tom_G I was jus thinkin da same thing but instead of flyin we can take my boat n carry more den jus 11# each so we can make da trip worth it.. Count da money n repeat :shaka:

I would imagine that if there was ample supply of .22lr on Maui it wouldn't be selling for that price.  It is unfortunate but I don't think anyone is going to be able to get 2000 rounds of .22lr anywhere for quite some time.

Only 2,000 rounds?  Piece of cake!  I've accumulated over 11 times that in the last 2 months, plus what I've fired.  Various prices, brands, and qualities, but it's all 22LR.    :geekdanc:

Haven't seen bulk .22 in a while... last I seen SA had 500 rds. for like $25 but that was many months ago... Never seen again....

Specialty/Match ammo .22 is going for a premium price, but nothing close to a dollar a round that I know of...

.223 for $1 a round at SA is the same in Honolulu. Soft points though.
